Our parents association is extremely active in all aspects of life at the LFJT. We express the parents’ concerns in various school committees, from the monthly Canteen Commission up to the Board of Directors where we have a seat, based on what you tell us “on the street” or through mail; we work with the administration and other local partners towards a better Lycée for our children. The APE Tokyo is part of the worldwide Fapée network, uniting French schools PTAs in over 100 foreign countries, with a global membership of about 30,000 families; our large and unique federation makes us heard at the French government level (AEFE) when debating major issues, and supports us for our local actions.

On September 19 will be held our annual meeting, at 8:30 in Fujimi. Formalities such as board members renewal and financial reporting will be dealt first; then the main purpose of the meeting is to review with you the present issues facing our school, such as the impact of the 20% drop of the number of students, the challenges of the relocation to Takinogawa next year, the future of English bilingual classes, and so on. Your questions and input will be most welcome throughout.

It is unfortunately impossible to have this meeting in multilingual form. In case you cannot attend, please feel free to talk to our committee members anytime, several of us are fluent in English, you will find our pictures on the APE-fapée website under “Le comité” and some of us will be present outside the Fujimi school every morning until the 19th. Or drop us a note, we’ll be more than happy to read from you and answer precisely and in a timely fashion.
