“English through Acting“

“Acquiring a second language requires lots of time and hard work and  Drama offers a wonderful way to learn English as it offers fun and stimulating language learning experiences.”

This workshop uses a multi-sensory approach to language learning. Students are physically and emotionally involved in the process of creating and performing drama. They can explore English diction, intonation, rhythm and free speech.

Drama can also develop students’ creativity, performance technique and co-operation so that they can interact in English outside the classroom with confidence.

This workshop is for kids who like acting and would like to improve their English skills through playing various roles. Students will be given weekly scripts to read, and they will be taught to read them convincingly and emotionally. Acting techniques,  drama directing will be discussed and experimented with.

Ultimately, a Play Show would be organized for the end of the Year.

INSTRUCTORS: Lyric is a Professional instructor graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in London, and Joanne, also Professional instructor, has a BA (Hons) in Art and Design from the Edinburgh Art School.

Cet atelier utilise une approche multi-sensorielle à l’apprentissage des langues. Les élèves sont physiquement et émotionnellement impliqués dans le processus de création et d’interprétation dramatique. Ils peuvent explorer la diction, l’intonation, le rythme et la liberté d’expression dans la langue de Shakespeare.

Le théâtre peut également développer la créativité des élèves, la performance technique et l’échange afin qu’ils puissent communiquer en dehors de la classe avec confiance.

Cet atelier est destiné aux enfants qui aiment agir et souhaitent améliorer leurs compétences en Anglais en jouant divers rôles. Les élèves recevront des scripts à lire chaque semaine, et on leur enseignera à les lire avec émotion et de façon convaincante. Les techniques théâtrales, la mise en scène, seront discutées et expérimentées.

De plus, un spectacle sera organisé pour être présenté en fin de l’année.
